A house, in the American sense, an American apple, a grapevine, bears no relation to the hope and contemplation with which our ancestors informed and beheld them." (Substitute "American" for "modern" or "capitalist" or whatever makes sense here!) Is your shift from acrylic paints and so on a shift away from "life-traps"? And you mentioned living in a post-industrial Thames borderland -- do waste plastics and other non-bio-degradable waste ever make their way into your grave goods? Or are you more selective?
