Carol Ballenger

Carol Ballenger, photographer and musician, is Director of Arts Live, an arts group based in South West England promoting the arts through photography, digital imaging, poetry and music. Activities, many of which have been supported by the Arts Council of England, include exhibitions, publications, workshops and live performances throughout the country, including for The National Trust, Dartmoor National Park Authority, Dartington Hall Trust, Edinburgh Festival, The Japanese Embassy in London, The New York Hall of Science, The Paris Summit for Climate Change 2016 and Geumgang Nature Art Biennale 2018. As a photographer Carol works in the landscape, both rural and urban and believes photography can reflect our relationship, both as photographers and viewers, to what is photographed. Published books include Dartmoor Dreams; Route 66; Stone Universe and Dartington Hall, One Endless Garden. Carol is a member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society.
