Kari Furre wins film award

Kari Furre – artist, swimmer, a Director of the Outdoor Swimming Society and one of the two leaders of our June short course Swimming: labour of imagination is featured in this wonderful film about swimming in Lake Windermere. It was recently awarded Best Short at the Four Seasons Film Festival and has won or been short listed for many other awards.

Swimming: labour of imagination is six Intensive days all about being in the water and exploring how creative work and creativity can be empowered, supported and inspired by the physical experience of water, and swimming in particular.

You will spend time in the water: in the River Dart and in various nearby seas, such as Start Bay and Lannacombe Bay. This will include swimming in the gloaming, swimming as meditation, swimming technique and tips, partying by the sea and throughout exploring your creative responses to water and to being in it.

We must close bookings very soon so if you are musing on whether to come along, now is the time to book. You can be resident or non-resident and it is possible to pay in instalments at no extra charge.
