Janey Hunt holds a PhD in Fine Art Practice Plymouth 2011, a Fine Art degree at Glasgow School of Art: Environmental Art 2002. She says:
I’ve recently returned to drawing after a career in socially engaged art practice. I’ve always done life drawing. I love charcoal.
My work explores mark making in life and landscape. It is not realism or beauty that I’m interested in, but the fundamentals of what is in front of me. It’s about my feeling for a place, the marks of the natural landscape, the imposition of years of human interaction and the layers of history.
Right now, I’m fascinated by fields.
