May 29, 14.00 – 16.30

Mythogeographer Phil Smith leads a walk around a part of the Dartington Hall Estate addressing multiple layers of history, ecology, performance and personal associations.

Phil addresses different ways in which the Estate has stood in for, represented or epitomised certain kinds of landscape, their gazes and trajectories. From substitute Narnias, via avant-garde and pop culture connections, to sporadic interventions from deep politics, the walk will address how the shaping and changing of the land has invited and endured multiple retellings.

Open to all (dogs on leads welcome).
