Laura Marshall

My work and training is as a visual artist – drawing, painting, and photography. More recently my path is turning toward that of an artist-philosopher, writing now, about the place, practice, and teaching of art in the Earth Household at this time of enantiodromic shift. In 2015 I completed a PhD in Mythological studies at Pacifica Graduate School; my dissertation is entitled The Jeweled Net, Sacred Landscape, and the Vision of the Heart. I am seeking currents of continuity between this present moment and the orientation of the human presence in the world revealed in the arts and contemplative traditions of pre-modern cultures. I am on the faculty of Viridis Graduate Institute for Ecopsychology and Environmental Humanities.
