Lillian Cooper

Lilian Cooper is an artist working in nature. She is presently drawing the rock edges of the North Atlantic (for past 18 years) and a separate project recording the life and death of trees. Both projects recognise the fragility of our planet and the present climatic changes. In her work there is an underlying fascination for the fabric of landscape.

Lilian has had numerous artist residencies & drawing projects world-wide in particular Newfoundland, the Basque Country and with Weir Farm National Historic Site, CT. She is currently visiting artist at the Leiden Botanic Gardens. Exhibitions have included solo and group shows in Portland Museum of Art, Maine; Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, Co; Missouri State University, USA; Art Affairs Gallery, Amsterdam; Shetland Museum, Scotland UK; Tempus Arti, Belgium; Geumgang National Museum, South Korea; Saitama museum, Tokyo, Japan.
